We are Eric, Grace and Leo
We're originally from the Australian East Coast and have been travelling the world since the start of 2017.
Travel has taken a few forms for us. It started out Airbnb-hopping all of 2017 through Asia and Europe, spending 4-6 weeks in each country. We then travelled through our own country (Australia) for a few months while waiting for Visas to come through for Canada.
We moved to Canada in June 2018, renovated an old RV and spent the 2018 summer and fall and 2019 spring travelling through Canada and along the US West Coast.
We have been fortunate enough to see some incredible places and meet incredible people. It's been a transformative journey in more ways than we could explain.
In June 2019 we sold our Van and flew to Montreal for the summer, before flying to Europe in August 2019.
We hope you enjoy what we have to share on this channel. Please come and say hi.
We'd love to get to know you (here or on IG)

Tulum seaweed issue: Is it still worth it? Our family vacation in Tulum, Mexico | 2019
Переглядів 10 тис.5 років тому
Our Mexico vlog is here! We spent 8 days in Quintana Roo, exploring the cenotes around Tulum, Mayan ruins, Cancun's beaches and eating alllll the tacos. We’ve had a lot of questions so far about our family holiday to Tulum, particularly because the sargassum seaweed issue down the Mayan riviera is making many beaches unswimmable right now. 😢 It’s a real shame, but even more so for the sea life ...

#VanLifeProblems: we blew a tire on the RV 😱 (actually we blew 2!)
Переглядів 4315 років тому
Cruising at 100km/h and then BANG! We ended up at a small campground along the Glacier National Park (and the staff at Kinbasket were super helpful btw!) and decided to just stop and relax. Things we forgot to mention: → When you blow 1 tire on the back of an RV, the recommended safety requirements are to replace all 4 (See ya later $1100!). → The reason it can do so much damage is because when...
DIY custom solar panel mounts - 180° rotation!!
Переглядів 83 тис.5 років тому
In this video I am installing custom solar panel brackets on top of my RV, but YOU COULD INSTALL THIS SAME SYSTEM ANYWHERE. I used a super simple method to create a completely adjustable bracket that can rotate up to 90° in both directions. And the best part? Each bracket cost only $60 Cad (approx $50 usd)! The available rotation is down to the unfixed nature of the bracket, so for security, be...
How to fibreglass an RV roof
Переглядів 28 тис.5 років тому
Today we are fiberglassing the roof of our RV. Motorhomes with a flat roof are notorious for leaks and problems, and after so much work on the inside of the van, we definitely didn't want any water getting in. So we decided to completely reseal over the top of what was already there to give it a better, harder protective shell and water resistance. NOTE: Since doing this we actually had a leak ...
How to replace an RV countertop
Переглядів 54 тис.5 років тому
In this video, I'll be showing you through our process of replacing an RV benchtop, and the other considerations if you're doing it within an entire renovation. Remember, it's helpful to consider your painting, and any new fixtures at the same time as doing the replacement, as it's much harder painting after putting in your new countertop! I would have liked to get every single step in minute d...

If you have any questins thou...
Every RV driver's worst nightmare

Hi guys! We've been offline (read: unable to sit at a Starbucks for an hour) for a few weeks. We've been fixing the toilet, re-fibreglassing and resealing the roof and installing our solar power so we can be fully off-grid. These are the things that happen living in a van (RV)! Plans get changed on a dime, and suddenly you need to fix stuff. But we're on the road again now and here's what we go...

Good morning good morning!! I am so happy to see you posted this. That is the same thing that I've been saying everyone's done renovations but no one's done to the bathroom from beginning to end because there's a lot of things that I want to know. I want to change my shower as well as my flooring and my toilet I want to redo the whole bathroom. And I came across your video after searching for 3 weeks.❤❤❤
Right ON
$200 American dollars?
Cost effective, good job. 👍
Great job!
Nice work my friend
How not to repair a rv roof😯
I have a Thetford 1994 RV toilet as well. I live in Colorado and would like to know the brand you purchased plus the store where you bought it. Thank you so much
Great Diy video! Thanks for sharing!
hold on you took the panel out of the box and laid it in the dirt. whay are you thinking put the carboard under it common sense is not present here
Could you have put down an inch of rigid fiberglass foam, and then put the fiberglass over it? I live in a very cold area....want better insulation.
Great tips and tricks. Thank you for what you did and why. Good tour.
Nice! Nothing like having to repair or replace to learn. Experience is valuable
This was very helpful. I am planning on doing the same but will put in a smaller sink. I took out one bench seat and yes!!! tons of staples! If you think something is going to take 1 hour....ad about 3 days. just kidding but it's never as simple as you think. You're configuration is very similar to mine in my travel trailer, but I have a bunk above the bed. I never thought of loosening the frame around the window to get the 'tile' under. Thanks for all of the good tips.
Thanks man! You gave me some great ideas!
Mayeb removed all those vents and folded glass into the holes. Also bevel or round over (router) that plywood edge prior to glass work. Remove drip rails and end the glass behind them? Either way hope you guys are leak free for awhile. I really don't understand these terrible factory roof systems from the manufacturer. They seem to cheap out on the most important parts lol
Brilliant 💡
Omg your so cute!!
The best city 💓
This little ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
I have a 1999 RV trailer with EPDM roofing previous owner put black Henry's on it and it is blister . How can I repair it
in a windstorm that'd blow to pieces
This is the best video on adjustable brackets for panels cost effective also.
Just think how many asses sat down by where you face is when you kneel down 😂
Hello from Troutdale,Va.USA. I was either going with wood or unistrut. The wood would not last long, and I was looking at hundreds of $for unistrut. U saved me a lot of 💰. Thanks again .
very nice job . you gave me an idea to build a bigger panel mount system for home offgrid power.❤
Love it, simple cheap, not the prettiest but gets the job done. I'm going to use this idea to mount panels to my Casita travel trailer
Exactly what I want to do to my class c rv.
You didn’t show where the screws was at
Awesome idea! This just helped me so much.
Very nice!!! Love the countertop! I don’t know where u guys are located, but I saw several other videos where people that travelled in more humid climates used an adhesive before they put on the peel & stick backsplash. People said without an adhesive, the humidity caused the peel & stick to just melt right off in the heat & humidity. Just an FYI:)
Loved your RV rennovation videos. Your RV is similar to mine and colors to be as well. I note this video is 2018, hope you are enjoying your RV adventures
Hey buddy I know this is an old video but can you tell me where you got your rolls of fiberglass at I really appreciate it buddy thank you
do you see or heard of solar panel theft often?
Love the idea with plywood underneath the panels, I’ll definitely copy that!
Great idea with the plywood under the panels. I’ll definitely do the same!
How did you secure the plywood to the RV? Did you remove all of the old caulk first before beginning the fiberglass project? If so, what did you find to be the best method to get it off? I think I would go with half a batch at a time since it is just one person, me.
Add cameras inside out
Awesome idea! Thanks!
What did you coat the fiberglass resin with to protect it from UV damage? Unless you either paint it with something to protect the fiberglass from UV, it will age and crack.
The amount of ppl saying what a great idea this is, seriously scares me. Wing nuts to secure a solar panel on a moving vehicle? Seriously. They'll vibrate loose over time. Great way to create a potential projectile. Ppl use your brains
Nice Job young man. shows some ingenuity. Happy Trails ( gives a clue to my age Roy Rogers theme. )
Brilliant this is exactly what I was looking for!
Nice try, but you got some things wrong. - You don't have 180 degrees of rotation, you have 90 degrees of angle tilt. - Those are angle brackets. - Steel is a poor long term choice. Aluminum is lighter. - Fiberglass on the mounting 4x8 piece of plywood will only work on certain types of roofs, namely fiberglass roofs. Further, I'm not sure it helps much at all, and adds a bunch of weight. Why not fiberglass on aluminum rails to attach your angle brackets to? - You have nothing to stop those wing nuts from rattling off, which they will. Lock washers would help.
I cannot imagine the horror of having to scrub those corregated shower walls! Would take FOREVER. 🥵
Flange seal
Angle langht kitni hai
Excellent idea, thanks for sharing it 👍
Nice. It did help me to figure out design for my 50W panel.
keep it simple... I like it.
Beautiful love it thanks for the video awesome
